Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I place an order?
A: Please fill out the Cookie Order Form to place an inquiry for an order. Submitting the form does not guarantee your order. I will respond within 3 business days of the form being submitted. If I am available for the date requested, I will email you with the quote or questions about your order.

Payment must be made in full, within 3 business days, to secure your order and be placed into my calendar. The order is NOT confirmed until full payment is received. Please see Pricing page before submitting your request.

Q: When is payment due?
A: Payment is due within 3 business days of confirmation of your order. Cookie orders are not booked until they are paid in full.

Q: How much are your cookies?
A: Please see Pricing page for more detail information.

Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: Square is our preferred form of payment. An invoice will be sent via Square. Venmo is also accepted if you are unable to make a payment via Square.

Q: How much notice do I need to give for ordering cookies?
A: As with anything custom made, the sooner the better. I will do my best to accommodate your date. Please fill out the Cookie Order Form and provide your date and I will reply as soon as possible. Typically, at least 4 weeks notice will give me enough time to create a design, secure ingredients, and obtain any necessary cookie cutters if there is availability on my calendar. For best availability, I suggest booking at least one to two months in advance, especially if your event is around a holiday, as this is about how quickly my schedule fills up at the moment.

Q: Can I place a cookie order if I do not know my theme yet?
A: Yes! Once you make payment, I will hold that spot on my schedule. As the event draws closer (about 3-4 weeks prior) we can discuss more about the theme and design details. This will give me enough time for planning and to order any necessary cookie cutters specific to your chosen theme.

Q: Where are you located? Do you deliver?
A: I am a cottage home bakery based in Round Rock, TX (north Austin area). As a cottage home business, I bake out of my home and do not have a storefront. I live in 78664 (exact address will be given upon order confirmation and payment). While pick-up is preferred, I am available to deliver to most surrounding areas depending on availability. We can also arrange a mid-way meeting spot.

Q: Do you ship orders?
A: The Texas Cottage Food Law does not currently allow home bakers to ship orders. As a cottage home business, I cannot ship. You are welcome to purchase and ship yourself. I can give advice on how to best package cookies for shipping.

Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: I am able to refund and cancel your cookie order up to 14 business days prior to your pick up date. No refunds can be made after this time. By this time, I have likely already created a design and purchased ingredients, cutters, etc.

Q: Can you provide peanut/nut-free or gluten-free cookie options?
A: Because I am a cottage home bakery, I cannot guarantee that my cookies are allergen free. While the recipe is peanut free, my home is not. I do offer a gluten-friendly sugar cookie, but my home kitchen is not gluten-free. All the ingredients in the gluten friendly sugar cookie are gluten free, but again my home kitchen is not gluten free.

Q: What flavor are your cookies?
A: LACC’s signature flavor is a vanilla sugar cookie. It is made with lots of butter (yum), powdered sugar, vanilla bean, almond emulsion (just a flavoring - product is free of nuts and actually made from stone fruit), eggs, flour, baking powder, and salt. It has a softer bite than a shortbread cookie. The royal icing is made with powdered sugar, corn syrup, meringue powder, salt and vanilla bean.

Other flavors also available: chocolate (gluten free option not available for chocolate flavor). Please specify at the time of your order if you are interested in an alternate flavor - otherwise all cookies will be the signature flavor. These flavors may come with an additional charge due to having more/different ingredients.

Q: How do your cookies come packaged?
A: To ensure freshness, all cookies are individually heat sealed in cellophane. They are then placed in a box and cushioned with bubble wrap and sometimes paper shred to prevent shuffling in the box. My cottage home bakery label can be found on the bottom or side of box. Cookies can also be individually wrapped as favors. They can be tied with a ribbon or twine for an additional charge.

Q: Should I refrigerate your cookies?
A: Nope! This will cause the cookies to become dry. Cookies will stay fresh in their packaging at room temperature for up to a week for best taste. In the hotter Texas months, keep cookies away from direct heat/sunlight for long periods of time - this can cause the icing to melt and stick to packaging or distort the design.

Q: What if LACC cancels my order?
A: I will do everything in my power to accommodate your order, but in the unlikely event that I must cancel, you will receive your full payment refunded and I will do my best to you find another local baker to make the cookies.
